with 37 years of experience. Isbelia starts in Venezuelan oil
industry as Palinologist in 1977 in MARAVEN’s Geological
Laboratory, a subsidiary of PDVSA. In 1981, She started the
CalcareousNannoplankton doing his specialization with Dr.
Christos Kapellos (Shell specialist in
CalcareousNannoplankton). In 1984, she worked(assigned) in
the KSEPL (Rijswijk) laboratories, The Hague, Holland; where
the work carried out define a Manual "Calcareous Nanno
plankton of the Tertiary in Venezuela Western Basin", carried
out with operational wells data, in addition she was trainedby
Dr. Ben Prins, with special emphasis on Cretaceous period. At
that time (early `80), Isbelia becomes the first
Nannoplanktonist in Venezuelan oil industry. Ing. Durán has
developed vast experience in calcareous nanoplanktonfield,
participating in multidisciplinary projects in Venezuela:
Offshore basins, Western and Eastern Basin, as well as in
international projects in Colombia, Honduras and Caribbean
Sea, also has participated in the South America Paleogene for
UNESCOProject, focused on the integration of
biostratigraphy and stratigraphy areas.
